Dedicated Instructors

All of our instructors are NRA certified. They all come with years of shotgun, rifle, pistol shooting and competition experience.  This enables us to effectively teach everyone from a beginning shooter to a experienced one. Tailoring the training to the particular needs of the student.

Qualifications

All of our instructors are NRA certified in multiple different shooting disciplines. They all demonstrate solid and safe firearm handling skills required to be successful  instructor.


To qualify as an NRA Instructor:

  • Candidates must satisfactorily complete an NRA Instructor Training Course in the discipline they wish to teach. and receive the endorsement of the NRA Training Counselor. Candidates must have completed the basic course in the discipline they wish to be certified to teach.
  • Candidates must possess and demonstrate a solid background in firearm safety and shooting skills acquired through previous firearm training and/or previous shooting experience. Instructor candidates must be intimately familiar with each action type in the discipline for which they wish to be certified.
  • Candidates will be required to demonstrate solid and safe firearm handling skills required to be successful during an instructor training course by completing pre-course questionnaires and qualification exercises administered by the NRA Appointed Training Counselor.

Delaware Concealed Carry License Certification

We are approved by the Delaware State Attorney Generals Office as a Authorized CCDW class instructor. Our class curriculum not only meets but exceeds the requirements set forth by the state of Delaware. The class will include, but not limited to : 

 1. Instruction regarding knowledge and safe handling of firearms;
2  Instruction regarding safe storage of firearms and child safety;
3. Instruction regarding knowledge and safe handling of ammunition;
d. Instruction regarding safe storage of ammunition and child safety;
4. Instruction regarding safe firearms shooting fundamentals;
6. Live fire shooting exercises conducted on a range, including the expenditure of a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition;
7. Identification of ways to develop and maintain firearm shooting skills;
I. Instruction regarding federal and state laws pertaining to the lawful purchase, ownership, transportation, use and possession of firearms;
9. Instruction regarding the laws of this State pertaining to the use of deadly force for self defense;
10. Instruction regarding techniques for avoiding a criminal attack and how to manage a violent confrontation, including conflict resolution.
